All the TV crime dramas coming to Acorn TV in August 2020

Which TV crime dramas are coming to Acorn TV next month?

While broadcast networks continue to air reruns or a limited number of new shows, we’re turning to streaming services to watch our TV crime dramas. It’s the start of a new month on Saturday, so you’ll be looking for something new to watch.

Acorn TV does have some TV crime dramas on the way. There isn’t much in the way of new releases this month. Spend the time catching up on the dramas that you’ve put off during months of plenty to watch.

The Nest finale

The first release is on Monday, Aug. 3. The Nest’s finale airs. It’s time to find out how it will all end.

There’s only one episode, but there are already four other episodes on the streaming service. If you haven’t watched The Nest yet, now is the time to do so ready for the finale. A wealthy couple run into an 18-year-old who agrees to be a surrogate for them. However, was that chance encounter actually planned?

A Difficult Woman

Caroline Goodall stars in A Difficult Woman, coming at the end of the month. She plays a character who risks everything to avenge the death of her best friend, which takes her on a journey of criminal and political intrigue. Who did kill her friend and why? Is she able to get revenge?

The series is from 1998, but all four episodes will drop at the same time. It’s certainly going to fill in the time during August.

Watch A Difficult Woman on Acorn TV on Aug. 24.

What to look forward to in September

While there isn’t much coming in August, there is something to look forward to in September. We know Mystery Road Season 2 is heading to Acorn TV. The Australian series follows Emma and Jay into the Australian Outback, where there’s been a mysterious disappearance.

Along the way, they uncover old wounds from when the country was colonized by the British. What exactly does that have to do with the disappearance?
