Which TV crime dramas can you watch during the first week of August
We’re into the first weekend of August. While streaming services have some big drops on Saturday, there are very few TV crime dramas coming our way. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch.
We don’t have as many picks as normal. Here are three TV crime dramas to check out from Aug. 1 to 2.
The Genetic Detectives
Episode 3 of the series airs on Saturday night. This true-crime series looks into the many cold cases in the world, turning to genetic genealogists for more answers.
During this episode, we follow the mystery of Angie Dodge, who was raped and murder in her own apartment in 1996. Investigators have spent 26 years trying to solve the mystery, but have come up blank. Will that change in this episode?
The Genetic Detectives airs at 10/9c on Saturday on ID.
Rebecka Martinsson Season 2
If you missed it during the week, now is the time to watch Rebecka Martinsson Season 2. There’s absolutely no need to watch the first season to understand what’s going on, either, as the story is completely standalone! All episodes of the series are available to stream right now.
This is a foreign language drama. I know that puts a lot of people off, but it is worth the subtitles.
Rebecka Martinsson Season 2 is on Acorn TV right now.
The Alienist: Angel of Darkness Episodes 5 and 6
We’re over the halfway point of The Alienist: Angel of Darkness. It looks like we know who kidnapped Baby Ana, but is the story really going to be that simple? Has the team cracked the case without doing too much? And with four episodes still to go?
There are so many questions right now. The hospital clearly has something to do with Baby Ana and the McNabb baby. Things just seem too simple for such an excellently-written series. These next two episodes are going to be necessary to get the next clues for how it all ends next week.
The Alienist: Angel of Darkness Episodes 5 and 6 air from 9/8c on Sunday on TNT.
