What happened to the team on The Alienist: Angel of Darkness finale?
The Alienist: Angel of Darkness wrapped up with highs and lows. It was a highly dangerous case with some fatalities. Where did our team members end up?
Let’s first touch on the case overall on The Alienist: Angel of Darkness. It soon turned out that Libby had never supposed to be in an institution. She wasn’t the killer that she was made out to be, never actually threatening her mom’s life.
Instead, her mom had lied due to Libby getting pregnant young and unmarried. Libby’s mom wanted nothing to do with Libby or her granddaughter, so had to find a way to get the child taken into care. Making Libby out to be dangerous was the best way to do that.
Pieces of the puzzle all started to fall into place. It was easier for Dr. Kreizler to understand Libby’s mindset a little better, her need for a child. It also meant Thomas Byrne had no choice but to turn to Sara and the team to find out where the stolen baby was since he couldn’t break an already broken woman.
In the end, the case was solved. The baby was returned, Libby was arrested, and Byrne finally accepted that he needed the team. Well, on this case, anywhere.
But it wasn’t all good news on The Alienist: Angel of Darkness finale.
