When will NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 return in 2021?

When will NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 5 air in 2021?

NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 is on its winter break. This is normal, but we definitely want to see more from the TV crime drama. When will new episodes air in 2021?

It feels like we’ve only just got the show back. In fact, we have. Only four episodes of the season could air in 2020 due to a delayed premiere date and Thanksgiving weekend. The good news is that we’re not waiting too long for NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 5.

The new episode will air on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 9:30/8:30c on CBS. It’s one of the first of the CBS shows to return. NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 returns on the same day in the hour block before it.

While many other shows don’t seem to have return dates until the end of January, bringing back the Sunday shows early is important. We get a couple of weeks of new episodes before sporting fixtures and awards shows take over Sunday night programming. We’re used to our Sunday shows taking a break during the last weeks of January and first weeks of February.

At least the breaks this time will give the shows chance to film extra episodes and reduce the breaks from February onward.

What to expect on NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 5

Not only do we know when the show will return, but we get an idea of what to expect. The case of the dirty cops in the NOPD has been closed for now. Pride and his team found a way to get the cops ousted. However, I don’t think it’s over. There are going to be repercussions when it comes to one ousted cop in particular.

The cases move on though. The team will look into the disappearance of key evidence in a murder case. This piece of evidence is a high tech battery that could cause some serious problems in the wrong hands.

It’s just Part 1 of the storyline. Expect a cliffhanger for the second part to air on Jan. 10.

NCIS: New Orleans returns with all-new episodes on Jan. 3 on CBS. Watch live and on-demand with CBS All Access.
