The moments from the Prodigal Son Season 2 premiere that made us go ‘WTF!’

The Prodigal Son Season 2 premiere brought us everything we loved from the first season. It also offered some major WTF twists that it’s hard to narrow them down to just the top five.

There are a lot of things to cover from the episode, including the hauntingly beautiful rendition of “(Don’t) Fear the Reaper.” That rendition was done by Denmark + Winter and you can find it you Spotify.

The season is set post-pandemic, and so far post-pandemic that nobody was wearing masks outside or inside. However, there are still other topics from the current day to bring up because plenty of TV shows have made a point that some of these topics have never changed.

Let’s get into the top five WTF moments from the Prodigal Son Season 2 premiere.

That opener

We have to start with the Prodigal Son Season 2 premiere opener. What a way to make it clear that nothing had changed about the writing, the stunts, and the crazy antics.

Malcolm is hanging out on a ledge to catch a killer. And in this case, he literally catches a killer. A fight breaks out on the ledge and they both go over. Or they would if Malcolm didn’t have a rope tied around him.

There was everything to love about this, including Dani telling Malcolm off, JT just letting the rope go, and Edrisa’s comments about bondage. Oh, and of course, there’s Martin Whitly calling just as it’s all happening.

Why did Malcolm choose to take that call? It wouldn’t be Prodigal Son without it.

The craziness on the calls didn’t end there. We got Fifty Shades of Bright and a sword vs. ax fight. What wasn’t there to love about the episode?
