Is NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 on tonight, Jan. 24?

Will we get a new episode of NCIS: New Orleans tonight, Jan. 24?

NCIS: New Orleans left us with a cliffhanger. Will we get answers to questions tonight, Sunday, Jan. 24?

There is a lot of bad news. Not only do we not get a new episode, but we also won’t get a rerun tonight. The show is taking a hiatus for a few weeks as we hit that point in the year when Sundays are taken over by sporting or award show events. It’s become standard, so I think most fans of the Sunday night dramas should be prepared for this.

CBS is airing the AFC Championship game tonight. That’s why there isn’t even a rerun. A new episode of FBI Season 3 will air afterward, bringing that show back from its winter break.

It is bad timing with the NCIS: New Orleans episode, though. This is one of the downsides of opting for two-parters each time.

When will New Orleans Season 7 return?

Of course, now you want to know when the next new episode of the series will air. There is going to be a wait.

There is a rerun next week, Jan. 31. The week after that is the Super Bowl, which CBS is airing. After that will be the series premiere of The Equalizer, which is about to join the two NCIS shows on a Sunday night.

NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 8 will air on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021. Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day, but don’t expect a Valentine’s Day episode. The series has tried to avoid the big holidays, especially since we’re just in the middle of the pandemic right now, so around the summer months of 2020 in the world of the show.

We don’t have details of what to expect, but it will pick up off the back of the previous episode.

The good thing about this break is that the show has time to film some more episodes. Pandemic filming is taking longer than normal, so hopefully, the show can get ahead well enough to avoid any more breaks later in the season.

NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 will return with all-new episodes of Sunday, Feb. 14. Catch up on CBS All Access.
