NCIS Season 19 premiere date: CBS sets September premiere date

CBS has set its premiere dates for the fall, and NCIS Season 19 is among those dates. When is the NCIS Season 19 premiere on CBS?

As we all know, CBS has made some big changes to its schedule for the 2021-2022 TV season. NCIS is one of those big changes, moving from the Tuesday slot it’s had from the very beginning to Mondays.

The network set its schedule but didn’t reveal any premiere dates. That’s now finally changed. Deadline shared the list of premiere dates on CBS in the fall, and there’s some great news for those who hated the delays in the 2020-2021 season.

The premieres will start in September 2021 as we’d hoped. This means filming is expected to happen as normal, at least to get started. Of course, it’s not 100% clear whether the seasons will be shortened just yet due to the pandemic protocols still in place while filming.

When will NCIS Season 19 premiere on CBS?

NCIS is one of the first shows to return to CBS in the new season. You’ll be able to watch the NCIS Season 19 premiere on Monday, Sept. 20. Remember that the new episodes will air on Mondays at 9/8c.

This is great news. We had to wait until November for Season 18, and we weren’t really that sure what the plan was for the new season as filming schedules are still a little off. Finding out that we’re getting a normal premiere date gives us hope that we’ll get a regular number of episodes.

Of course, the date could change. This will depend on the amount of filming that can happen during the summer. We also have no idea if there will be breaks in the schedule like with the last season. Hopefully, the schedule won’t be as unpredictable as the last one!

The change to the schedule allows for an FBI Tuesday lineup. It also gives Monday nights a better chance. CBS moving its biggest show to Mondays is strategic, especially with the new series NCIS: Hawaii coming in the hour slot afterward.

The NCIS Season 19 premiere will air on Monday, Sept. 20 at 9/8c on CBS. Check out the following day on Paramount+.
