Big Sky Season 2 is not coming to ABC in August 2021

We’re waiting for the next story involving Cassie and Jenny. There’s still a bit of a wait on our hands. Big Sky Season 2 is not coming next month.

One of the great things is knowing that Big Sky Season 2 is happening. This was an explosive drama, quickly making it clear that we had no idea what was happening. It was clear with the death of one of the main characters in the pilot that anything could happen.

Now we’re focused on the second season. Cassie and Jenny have joined forces as private detectives, and they’ve solved a couple of cases together. Now it’s time to solve a new case.

Well, it’s almost time. Big Sky Season 2 isn’t arriving August 2021, but we do know when it will premiere.

Big Sky Season 2 premiere date

We weren’t really expecting Big Sky Season 2 to premiere in August. It’s a fall series, which means it was never going to premiere in the summer months. We knew we were waiting until September at the earliest.

ABC recently announced its fall 2021 premiere dates. One of those is Big Sky. Most of the premiere dates are in September, and that’s certainly the case here. Big Sky Season 2 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 30.

You’ll notice that’s a change of night. The show will air at 10/9c, following episodes of Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy. TGIT’s last timeslot can be hit or miss, and we’re hoping it’s a big hit for this crime drama.

We don’t really know what the second season is going to cover, but we can take a few guesses with the way the first season ended. Jenny, Cassie, and U.S. Marshal Mark Lindor learned who left the message “Help Me — Kelli.” They’d found her decomposed body, and it turned out Ronald had locked her in a wooden hut and left her to die of starvation.

Ouch! Hopefully, the second season covers this storyline so someone can get justice for Kelli.

Big Sky Season 2 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 10/9c on ABC with episodes heading to Hulu the following day.
