Nancy Drew Season 3 is not coming in September 2021

We’re waiting patiently for the return of our favorite shows. Nancy Drew Season 3 is one of them, but the wait continues for now.

A lot of our favorite TV crime dramas are heading back to our screens this month. The bigger networks have opted for September dates for most shows. The CW shows aren’t coming back in September, though. That includes Nancy Drew.

Nancy Drew Season 3 is not going to arrive in September 2021. If we’re honest, we wouldn’t have expected it anyway. Even without the pandemic and the delays last year, The CW doesn’t usually bring shows back in September. October is the usual release date for fall shows.

That’s going to be the case here. We’re waiting until October, and there isn’t that much longer to wait.

Nancy Drew Season 3 premiere date on The CW

We’re not waiting too long for the new release. The Nancy Drew Season 3 premiere will arrive on Friday, Oct. 8.

Yes, the series is changing nights if you missed the initial news. It’s going to air at 9/8c still, but on Fridays instead of Wednesdays. The live ratings weren’t all that strong last season, but strong enough to keep the series on the air. Friday nights work out a lot better.

Fridays aren’t the “death slot” anymore for CW shows. Thanks to streaming on The CW App, Fridays work out extremely well. Many viewers will watch on the app, which is ad-supported, over the course of the weekend.

Some great news is that the Nancy Drew spin-off, Tom Swift, is happening. The CW recently picked up the mystery series, which will focus on a modern-day version of the popular book character.

Nancy Drew Season 3 will premiere on Friday, Oct. 8 at 9/8c on The CW. Episodes will be on The CW App the following day.
