Alaska series premiere is not coming to ABC in June 2022

Hilary Swank stars in a new series heading to ABC, Alaska. The series premiere isn’t arriving in June 2022, but when will we get to watch it?

With a new fall schedule arriving soon, it means a bunch of new shows will premiere. Alaska is the new series heading to ABC, but it’s not coming this month. We didn’t expect to see it arrive in June, though, did we?

The series stars Hilary Swank as a disgraced New York reporter who decides to reinvent herself in the coldest state in the United States. She heads to Alaska to figure out the mystery behind multiple women going missing.

Swank plays Eileen Fitzgerald, who gets a job at the daily metro newspaper in Anchorage. She quickly realizes that a lot of women, especially Native American woman, have gone missing. Now she wants to figure out what’s going on, while also gaining redemption on a personal and professional level.

When will Alaska premiere on ABC?

We’re not expecting to see the show arrive at all throughout the summer. This new show is going to be part of the fall lineup. ABC has already confirmed that it is taking Big Sky‘s timeslot on Thursdays after new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy.

Don’t worry about what this means for Big Sky. The series was renewed, but moved to Wednesday nights.

As for the Hilary Swank series, we’ll see it sometime in the fall. The fall schedule usually begins in late September, but ABC hasn’t confirmed dates just yet. FOX is the only network to have confirmed some premiere dates so far, with the fall schedule starting on Monday, Sept. 19. If ABC follows suit, we could see Alaska premiere on Thursday, Sept. 22. If that’s not the case, it could be held for Sept. 29.

Alaska will air Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC. Catch up the following day on Hulu.
