Alaska Daily series premiere date confirmed

ABC has confirmed when its fall schedule will begin. That includes the Alaska Daily series premiere date. Here’s what we know so far.

Originally titled Alaska, the Hilary Swank drama is now called Alaska Daily. It also has a premiere date. ABC has set the date for all of its fall shows to premiere, and that’s included the likes of The Rookie and Big Sky.

So, what about the new series? Here’s what we know about Alaska Daily so far.

Alaska Daily series premiere date

The new series isn’t coming in September. Instead, ABC is holding some premieres until October. Alaska Daily is joining the TGIT lineup, and it’s going to premiere at the same time as Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19. That means we’re waiting until Thursday, Oct. 6.

This is going to be disappointing for those who are ready to see the new series. However, it’s likely that some shows are going to return to filming a little later in the summer due to some of the pandemic delays last year to make sure cast and crew get a break. This will mean a delay in when the shows can return.

We’re sure this is a series that will be worth the wait. After all, we get to see Hilary Swank back on our screens. She’ll play a disgraced reporter from New York who ends up leaving that world behind for a quieter position at an Alaska daily newspaper. It leads to her investigating a series of missing women from the area.

Why has the show’s name changed? This could be due to making it easier to find out about. After all, type in the world “Alaska” in Google and you’ll see a lot about the state and no the TV series.

Alaska Daily is coming to ABC on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 10/9c. Catch up on the series the following day on Hulu.
