We’re ready to see the next case for Dewell and Hoyt to deal with. When will Big Sky Season 3 premiere on ABC? Here’s what we know so far.
There are some exciting things to come in Big Sky Season 3. The bad news is we don’t get to see how everything plays out this month. We never expected it to happen, but we do know that Big Sky Season 3 will not premiere in August.
Broadcast networks don’t bring any of their big shows in the summer. The live ratings take too much of a dip, so we knew not to expect the series until the fall. The good news is ABC has confirmed the premiere date, and we even now have more updates about the new season.
When will Big Sky Season 3 premiere on ABC?
We don’t have to wait too much longer for the series. It will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21. This is a change of night, but the episode will still air in the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
The new season has a change of title. It’s called Big Sky: Deadly Trails. This isn’t the title of one of the Cassie Dewell books by C.J. Box, so it’s hard to say what the storyline could be. However, we do know that Reba McEntire is joining the series and she’s the one who narrated the promo. Does this suggest she’s the villain for Jenny and Cassie to go after?
The trailer also gives us a look at Jensen Ackles back in action. His character Beau was introduced as acting sheriff during the Season 2 finale and then he was upped to series regular. We’ll get to see him all season.
Luke Mitchell and Henry Ian Cusick have also joined the series, along with Anirudh Pisharody and Madalyn Horcher. Also J. Anthony Pena has been upped to series regular, so we’ll get to see more of Deputy Mo Poppernak.
Big Sky Season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c on ABC. Catch up on Hulu.
