Criminal Minds Evolution trailer: What does a pandemic do to a killer?

Criminal Minds Evolution will be here before we know it. The trailer gives us a look at what to expect. What is the case for the BAU to solve?

For a while, it sounded like the Criminal Minds revival wouldn’t happen. There were talks of it being DOA, and then things picked up again. Paramount+ ordered it to series with a 10-episode order. All eyes were on when the new season would arrive.

Well, we know it premieres on Thanksgiving Day. The synopsis made it clear that the show would have a serialized and a procedural element to the story. Now the trailer goes into more of what to expect.

The new season will see the team deal with its biggest case yet. This one is going to take them all down dark paths, and they will struggle with each of the losses they face. They’ll need to call in the one person they know can help, even though they promised they wouldn’t ask her to come back. Yes, they need Penelope Garcia.

This is a case that has nothing textbook about it. Rossi explains what the problem is. He’s spent years studying killers, but never what a pandemic will do to killers. They’ve found it difficult to move around easily with the world shut down, so they turned to each other to figure out how to become better at what they do.

That makes the job of the BAU much harder. It’s no wonder they need to call in their big guns for a favor to get to the bottom of this case.

The first half of the episode will air in 2022 and then the show will take a small break and return in January 2023 with the remaining episodes.
