Felt like you recognized one of the guest stars in NCIS Season 17, Episode 4? There was a real vet in the episode and here are the details.

Every now and then, there are actors who look very familiar. That would have been the case in NCIS Season 17, Episode 4, and I don’t just mean the main guest stars. There was one playing a homeless vet toward the end of the episode that you will have certainly recognized, especially if you watched Mysteries Decoded.

Jennifer Marshall guest-starred as the female homeless vet that helped Barney accept who he is: a veteran. Once a marine always a marine, something that Marshall will understand in her own life.

You may have seen Marshall in other TV shows. Right now, she’s the host of Mysteries Decoded, a series on The CW that takes viewers through some of the biggest mysteries of the past, including the Lizzie Borden murders, the Bermuda Triangle, and much more. However, she’s also been in Timeless, Hawaii Five-0, and even Stranger Things.

Before turning to acting, Jennifer Marshall served in the military. More specifically, she served in the Navy and is a fifth-generation veteran. The military is in her blood, and this storyline in NCIS would have likely been close to her heart. After the Navy, she got into the police academy but an injury forced her to change direction and she became a licensed P.I.

While working as a P.I., she also works as an actress part-time. After all, why not do as much as possible? Make life interesting!

NCIS Season 17, Episode 4 started with a bizarre case but focused on an important topic of homeless veterans and the lack of care after service. It means something much more when someone with military experience is part of the story.
