FBI ratings were on the rise this week, as Season 2, Episode 4 cemented the sophomore crime drama’s status as a hit. See the latest FBI numbers.

When FBI premiered last season, it was an immediate hit for CBS. And based on its latest ratings, the series is maintaining that audience in its second season.

The Oct. 15 episode “An Imperfect Science” featured a nightclub shooting, with the team looking at a group of white supremacists as the prime suspects. They also had to deal with the fact that the Bureau might have been able to prevent the attack.

Audiences were interested, with 8.71 million people watching the episode live. That made FBI the second most-watched program on broadcast TV this Tuesday.

It’s the second week in a row that the show has been number two.

The episode improved on Episode 3’s live numbers, too. It gained 0.08 in viewers, or 8,000 more people compared to the week before. That may not sound like a lot, but it is when you look at the big picture.

FBI was the only one of CBS’s Tuesday night crime dramas to gain viewers week-to-week. Even NCIS, which is Tuesday’s most-watched series, lost eyeballs compared to last week’s installment. So that’s a pretty big feather in the sophomore show’s cap.

When it comes to the adults 18-49 demographic—the most coveted section of the TV ratings numbers—fans have something to smile about there, too. “An Imperfect Science” picked up an 0.9 share in the demo.

That made it fifth out of 12 shows amongst that age group. While that’s not stellar, it’s still in the Top 5.

It’s also a 0.1 increase over FBI‘s score in that category last week. The series was the only show, on any network, that attracted more viewers in the 18-49 area compared to last Tuesday. That means it’s gaining attention exactly in the demographic that everyone wants.

With numbers like these, it’s clear that FBI season 2 is going just as strong as the first season, which is good news as CBS is expanding the show into a franchise. It’s easy to see this show being a major part of the network’s plans going forward with these successful ratings.
