What TV crime dramas should you watch this week? SWAT giving an underrated team member the spotlight is one of our picks for Oct. 21-27, 2019.

With so many TV crime dramas on the air, which ones should you watch and which ones can you skip? Our weekly watchlist will tell you which crime dramas are worth your time this week.

For the week of Oct. 21 to Oct. 27, CBS has a clear edge over the competition, with all three of our picks coming from the Eye.

Here’s what to watch in TV crime dramas this week, along with previews where available:

Tuesday, Oct. 22 @ 9 p.m. ET/PT: FBI Season 2, Episode 5: “Crossroads”

With all the new additions to FBI this season, you might have forgotten about Jubal Valentine (Jeremy Sisto). After all, most of what he does is keep the office running and the team on task. But this episode’s B-story promises to shed more light on Jubal’s backstory, as he’s presented with a hard choice that involves his family—and maybe his future with the Bureau.

Wednesday, Oct. 23 @ 10 p.m. ET/PT: SWAT Season 2, Episode 4: “Immunity”

Jay Harrington is the most undervalued member of the SWAT ensemble, and this Wednesday we finally get an episode that should fix that. Harrington’s Deacon is the star of the show, in which his family (played by guest stars Amanda Lowe-Odell and Stefan K. Clark) run afoul of the bad guys of the week. Will Deke be able to protect them? More importantly, imagine the number of emotional scenes Harrington will get to sink his teeth into.

Friday, Oct. 25 @ 8 p.m. ET/PT: Hawaii Five-0 Season 10, Episode 5: “He ‘oi‘o kuhihewa; he kaka ola i ‘ike ‘ia e ka makaula”

Continuing Hawaii Five-0‘s recent trend of bringing back familiar faces (first Rob Morrow and then Joey Lawrence), this episode features the return of former series regular Masi Oka as Dr. Max Bergman. It’s also the show’s Halloween episode, as all three of CBS’s Friday night crime dramas are doing Halloween themes (since this is the last Friday before the holiday).
