Missy Peregrym took to social media to share an adorable pregnancy announcement. Here’s a look at the announcement, but what will it mean for FBI filming?

FBI‘s Missy Peregrym took to Instagram to share an adorable pregnancy announcement. Stating that there was “no more hiding it,” she posted a video of three pairs of shoes, one of those pairs for a baby.

It will be the first child for Missy and her husband Tom Oakley. We couldn’t be more excited for her, and it’s clear that her colleagues feel the same way. Even Van Helsing colleagues, such as on-screen sister Kelly Overton, shared their congratulations.

We do have some questions, though. And that’s mostly surrounding filming. Baby Oakley, as the unborn child has been nicknamed by Peregrym on Instagram, is due in spring 2020. That could be anytime from March to June, which means her bump will be showing while filming FBI Season 2.

This is nothing producers haven’t worked with in the past. We’ve seen how various pregnancies have been written into shows and how others have been hidden from view. Life happens and it’s not like anyone can justifiable put into contracts that a lead female can’t get pregnant—hey, maybe they just about got away with things in the past, but definitely not anymore. There would be outrage!

So, there are two options. Either Maggie is going to suddenly find out she’s pregnant (unlikely) or the production team will find some interesting ways to keep the bump covered. The latter is certainly more likely, and we’ll likely still see Maggie in the field. The bulletproof vest will help to cover everything. What we’ll likely see is that Maggie won’t be involved in as many hand-to-hand fights during the cases.

However, depending on the due date, production will need to think ahead for filming purposes. But let’s leave all the logistics to the people who will be used to it and able to work around it. We’ll just get to enjoy the adorable pregnancy announcement one more time.

Congratulations, Missy and Tom! Here’s to a safe and healthy pregnancy!
