OA had to make a difficult decision in FBI Season 2, Episode 7. Would he put his family before his morals? Let’s get into the spoilers.

If you haven’t watch FBI‘s Nov. 12 episode, “Undisclosed,” be aware that there are spoilers in this post.

Sometimes family will put you in a difficult position. You’ll be encouraged to do something that’s against your morals and that could get you in trouble in the future. That’s something OA’s family wanted him to do in FBI Season 2, Episode 7.

OA’s cousin wants to join the police force, so family put pressure on OA to help make that happen. The problem was that OA didn’t see his cousin as police material. Not everyone is cut out for the job, and OA couldn’t recommend someone who didn’t quite fit the needs of the role.

But this is family, right? Surely when it comes to family, we’ll do anything. Wouldn’t you want your cousins to follow their dreams? It may have gone against his morals, but wouldn’t OA have a duty towards his family, especially when you consider his family’s culture?

What decision would OA end up making? Family or morals?

In the end, he chose his morals. And I 100% back him on that decision. You shouldn’t do absolutely everything for family. In fact, family shouldn’t put someone in that position!

OA made it clear that while he wanted to support his cousin, he couldn’t see his cousin being that great at police work. This wouldn’t be a career path that would work out, and he couldn’t, in good conscience, recommend his cousin for a role.

This might cause problems between OA and his family down the line. In fact, I expect to see it come up again. However, this wasn’t something his family should have asked of him, knowing that his cousin likely wasn’t suitable for the job anyway.
