A focus back on Lasalle’s case saw good movement to the NCIS: New Orleans ratings on Nov. 26. Here’s a look at the results and what they could mean.

NCIS: New Orleans brought the focus back on Lasalle’s case on Nov. 26. It was a good move for the ratings. Here’s a look at how the episode performed.

The episode saw Eddie Barrett head to court to bring an alibi witness. With nothing to prove the witness was lying, the team made a huge decision. Instead of continuing with the case, NCIS wanted to let Eddie free. They had to catch him doing something else that would help to lead to his arrest and conviction. It would bring justice for Lasalle.

This intense episode was certainly something the NCIS: New Orleans fans needed. We got to see the team work together to find a smarter way to deal with this drug dealer and murderer. And the ratings for the Nov. 26 episode proved this was a good episode, with the demo ticking up a healthy 21% to a season-high of 0.8.

While the total audience wouldn’t see the same upward tick, like NCIS and FBI, it did remain steady from the previous episode. A total of 6.866 million people tuned in for the episode to see if the team could get justice for Lasalle.

What does this mean for the future of the series? Don’t worry too much about it right now. While the series is moving to Sundays in February, this isn’t purely due to the ratings. CBS wants to give FBI: Most Wanted a good chance and following its parent show is the best way to do that. NCIS stands a good chance once SNF is over and done with in the new year.

As long as the ratings remain steady, the show will be renewed for another season. After all, it’s in the middle of CBS shows in the demo average and in the Top Six in the audience average.
