Blue Bloods season 11 premiere synopsis

Like many crime dramas, Blue Bloods season 11 will kick off with a premiere episode that addresses protests against police brutality and the shifting political climate for those on the force. In addition to its topical storylines, the premiere will find Jamie teaming up with his newly discovered nephew to hunt down Danny and Baez after the pair go missing while looking for a killer.

Here’s how CBS officially describes the season premiere, entitled “Triumph Over Trauma,”:

"Amidst a shifting political climate, Frank goes head-to-head with City Council Speaker Regina Thomas (Whoopi Goldberg) over protests against police brutality. Also, Jamie and his nephew, Joe Hill (Will Hochman), work together to locate Danny and Baez when they go missing while searching for a killer, and Eddie steps up to help an abrasive woman find her father’s body after it was misplaced during the outset of the pandemic."
