When will NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 air new episodes on CBS?

We’ve only just got NCIS: New Orleans back, and it’s already going on a break. Just how long is the break going to be? Will we have to wait until January 2021 for new episodes of NCIS: New Orleans Season 7?

Worrying about a long break is understandable. NBC brought back its fall dramas only to go on a long break after two episodes of each of them. Fans are waiting until January for the return of Chicago PD, The Blacklist, and more.

So, is that going to happen with CBS’s NCIS: New Orleans? There wasn’t a promo at the end of the Nov. 22 episode, which suggests a break. How long is that break going to be? There isn’t a new episode of either NCIS spin-off this Sunday due to Thanksgiving weekend. That’s standard.

Instead of an episode of NCIS: New Orleans the following week, there will be two new episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles on Dec. 6 according to the CBS schedule. The new episode of NCIS: New Orleans is going to happen on Dec. 13.

That’s not too long to wait. However, there won’t be a new episode in the week after that due to holiday-themed programming, which isn’t uncommon this time of the year. It’s likely that the series will go on a break at this point until January 2021.

Why are shows going on earlier breaks?

So many shows are going on early breaks. We can likely expect the same with NCIS, Blue Bloods, and more. It’s all because of the pandemic.

Filming is taking longer due to protocols. Because of this, not as many episodes can film. NCIS: New Orleans went back after its two sister shows, so it’s not surprising it hasn’t had as much time to film enough episodes to prevent quick breaks.

The productions are doing their best. All we can do is continue to support the shows. It’s not their fault that they haven’t got as much done as we’d like.
