Everything we know about Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere and cast so far

It won’t be long until the Drew Crew is back on our screens. Here’s what we know about the Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere date, cast, and more.

As a quick recap of Nancy Drew Season 1, Nancy learned she isn’t a Drew after all. Carson admitted that she is Lucy Sable and Ryan Hudson’s daughter. Ryan had no idea, but he does want to be in Nancy’s life now. She’s just struggling with how to deal with the fact her parents weren’t actually her parents.

She and the Drew Crew also had to figure out how to deal with the supernatural sea witch on their backs. Nancy refused to pay the toll for getting Lucy’s bones back, but they hoped the problem was over when Owen died anyway. However, Owen didn’t die by the aglaeca’s hands. His death was natural, and the entire Drew Crew’s lives are at risk.

The season ended with each of them seeing their own deaths. However, that was never the intended season finale. It’s just worked as a good one that gave us something big for Nancy Drew Season 2.

So, let’s get into what to expect in the second season.

Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere date

The CW pushed all its fall shows to the midseason to allow for time to film. Looking back at how things have worked for ABC, CBS, and NBC, this was probably the best thing to do. While we’ve had to wait a little longer, we’ve not had one week on, one week off like other shows. We’ve not had two weeks of new episodes and then months off until the next episodes are ready.

Make sure Wednesday, Jan. 20 is in your diary. The show returns at 9/8c on The CW.

Nancy Drew Season 2 cast

The main cast from the first season will return. Kennedy McMann will step back into the role of Nancy Drew, with Scott Wolf as her dad-not-dad Carson Drew. Riley Smith will also be back as Ryan Hudson, bringing plenty of family drama as Nancy figures out where she belongs.

Also returning are:

  • Leah Lewis as Georgia “George” Fan
  • Maddison Jaizani as Bess Marvin
  • Tunji Kasim as Ned “Nick” Nickerson
  • Alex Saxon as Ace

The show wouldn’t be what it is without the Drew Crew.

We’ll also likely see more of:

  • Adam Beach as Chief E. O. McGinnis
  • Katie Findlay as Lisbeth
  • Stevie Lynn Jones as Laura Tandy
  • Liza Lapira as Victoria Fan
  • Judith Maxie as Diana Marvin

Deadline recently reported that Aadila Dosani is joining Nancy Drew Season 2 in a recurring role. She’ll play Amanda Bobbsey, the Bobbsey twin who is charming, street smart, and has a manic energy. She and her twin brother get involved in a lot of petty crimes. How often will she run into the Drew Crew?

Nancy Drew Season 2 trailer

There is a teaser promo out for the season right now, which focuses on a couple of things. First, there’s a woman who died but not before saying Nancy’s name. Will she return as a ghost? There are plenty of ghosts in Horseshoe Bay.

The trailer also makes it clear the aglaeca problem is going to come up.

Nancy Drew Season 2 synopsis

While we don’t have an official synopsis for the season just yet, we do know the aglaeca will continue to cause a problem. The Drew Crew will need to figure out a way to get this sea witch off their backs.

In the promo above, Nancy says that she can’t find them if they’re not afraid. It sounds like she’s talking about the aglaeca. The problem is they’ve all seen their deaths. They are all afraid.
