Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 2 felt like an episode of Supernatural
Prodigal Son felt like it needed to call the Winchesters a few times throughout the night. Instead of having an actual supernatural ending on Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 2, it brought up a very real problem that manifests like possessions.
The case started with the murder of a priest. This priest happened to work in exorcisms, but we’re not here to judge about that right now. It’s all about the WTF moments throughout Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 2.
Martin Whitly admits to feeling guilty
Since The Surgeon is the only person Malcolm can talk to right now. Ainsley doesn’t remember what she did and Malcolm covered up the murder for her with Martin’s help. Understandably, he’s struggling with the truth. But this moment isn’t about that.
It’s all about Martin’s comment about guilt. He tells Malcolm the guilt won’t go away, and he says it from experience. Just what is Martin feeling guilty about? It’s not the murders, but is it for what happened to Malcolm and Ainsley because he was caught?
Salt, holy water, and demon possessions, oh my!
Oh, this was definitely an episode that felt like the Winchesters should have been called in to help. During the episode, Malcolm and JT need to visit a potential suspect, someone the priest was helping to “exorcise.”
Well, it turns out a lot of people believe in demon possession. The boy’s mom had holy water and salt lines.
At the very end of the episode, Malcolm has to do an exorcism. It turns out it’s actually lead poisoning, but there is a part of the murderer deep down that is sure he’s possessed and he believes the exorcism.
Dani puts body armor on when Malcolm sleeps
Malcolm struggles with everything that he’s done. While he sleeps, he dreams of the nun at the church, but she becomes Ainsley. Ainsley wants Malcolm to tell the truth. Well, not the real Ainsley, but the dream Ainsley.
When Malcolm wakes up from the nightmare, he’s at work. Dani is there wearing body armor. Why? Well, Malcolm is asleep. We all know what can happen there!
JT faces retaliation for speaking out
My poor baby, JT. After speaking out about the systemic racism during the Prodigal Son Season 2 premiere, he faces retaliation during Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 2. When he calls for backup, nobody arrives. They claim they don’t know who JT is.
Gil is angry, and that’s not surprising. All because a few white people got hurt, they decided to put a bunch of other people’s lives on the line. Retaliation like this is always ridiculous. But it happens, and now JT has to figure out what to do next.
I want him to stand up again and fight for his job, but can he put his family at risk? That’s something he needs to consider.
Friar Pete suggests Martin joins the Bible class
After Martin helps Malcolm again, Malcolm realizes that he has a way to push his dad out. It’s a narcissist’s worst nightmare. He needs his children.
Hearing that, Martin says to Friar Pete, a fellow inmate, that he needs to get out of prison. Friar Pete suggests Martin attends a Bible class. They’re enthusiasts about “Exodus.” Martin knows what that means. It’s time for an escape attempt.
