5 big questions after the Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere
The Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere picked straight up where the Season 1 finale ended
Nancy Drew started as it means to go on. It’s continuing the focus on the supernatural creatures, picking up straight off the back of the Season 1 finale. Of course, the Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere left us with plenty of questions.
The episode picked up with each of the Drew Crew seeing their own deaths. And it’s freaked them out. Actually, “freaked them out” is probably an understatement. They even tried to get rid of everything that would kill them, only for the Aglaeca prevent them from doing that.
It makes us wonder if there’s anything they can do to prevent their deaths. That’s where we start with the five questions after the Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere.
Can Nancy find the sea shanty in time?
Nancy is dealing with a lot right now. She’s struggling to deal with her identity while trying to keep herself and her friends alive. She’s at least one step closer to the latter of them. With the mirror, she now has a riddle.
It turns out she needs to find the Aglaeca’s sea shanty. The clue to destroy the wraith is in there. Will Nancy be able to find it in time? I’m sure the show will find them getting close to running out of time, but the Drew Crew will figure it out in the end.

Will Ryan and Carson be able to get along ever?
Nancy’s fathers (yes, I still view Carson as her dad even though Ryan is her biological father) hate each other. Ryan’s family has destroyed Carson’s life and now Carson needs to rebuild his business. Meanwhile, Ryan is angry that Carson took his daughter away from him.
The two need to see past their hatred for each other. They are both in Nancy’s life and will both need to help her as best they can as fathers. Can they get along ever? The Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere says that isn’t likely.
How long until Nancy learns about George and Nick?
George and Nick have managed to keep their relationship a secret for quite some time. But it can’t stay that way forever. Eventually, Nancy is going to find out.
They need to tell her sooner rather than later. Rip the Band-Aid off. After all, it’s always going to hurt, but the longer they allow it to go on, the more it will hurt.
This doesn’t mean I think they’re in the wrong. The heart wants what it wants. But they need to stop lying.
How long until the town finds out Nancy is a Hudson?
Ryan threatened Carson with telling the whole town that Nancy is a Hudson. Right now, it’s just a light threat. Ryan doesn’t seem to want to hurt Nancy right now even if he does want to be a part of Nancy’s life now.
However, eventually, this secret is going to come out. There’s only so long Ryan can pretend he’s thanking Nancy for a job well done. Eventually, someone will probably think they’re together and then they’ll need explain why that’s just gross.
How will everyone react when they learn Nancy is a Hudson? More importantly, is Nancy’s life safe from her grandfather if that happens?
Will Ace and Nancy find their groove again?
Nancy and Ace’s friendship has been one of my favorite parts of Nancy Drew. It’s hard watching the Nancy Drew Season 2 premiere and seeing the two of them on bad terms. But the bad terms are understandable.
Ace is terrified of everything that’s happening, and he needs to blame someone. That someone is Nancy. If she hadn’t pulled the Drew Crew into the initial mystery, none of this would be happening to them.
Can Ace get past the fear to get their friendship back on track? Can Nancy respect his wishes not to be pulled into more mysteries? Will Ace even not want to be pulled into mysteries in the future?
So many questions and no answers just yet.
