Malcolm’s latest case sends him back to Claremont, but not for advice this time. It’s time to breakdown the Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 4 promo and synopsis.
Over the last few episodes, we’ve seen Malcolm attempt to pull away from his dad. He needs to for his own sanity, but that’s not all too easy. Everything keeps pulling him back to his dad, and this episode is no exception.
Before we get into the breakdown, you’ll want to see the promo and synopsis for the episode. Just keep in mind that this can be spoilery for some. And when we get into the breakdowns, we really get into the teases for the episode.
Here are the promo and synopsis for Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 4.
"Martin is delighted when a murder at Claremont Psychiatric brings the NYPD into his territory, allowing him direct involvement with one of Malcolm’s cases. While working the same job, Ainsley’s suspicion grows when she feels Malcolm may be hiding something from her. All the while, Malcolm and Ainsley must dodge their mother, who’s wondering why they got rid of her favorite rug."
Breaking down the Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 4 promo
Ainsley is starting to remember
It was only a matter of time, wasn’t it? At the end of the Prodigal Son Season 1 finale, Ainsley did the ultimate thing to protect her family. She killed a man, but she doesn’t remember doing it.
That isn’t going to be for long. Ainsley will start to remember things, but how will she deal with them? Is she going to be like her brother or like her father?
Jessica is going to learn the truth
Ainsley isn’t the only one to start learning the secrets Malcolm is keeping. Jessica will also learn the truth from Martin of all people. I’m sure we can all guess how she’s going to react about that fact.
However, she’s more concerned about her daughter. Is that fear in the Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 4 promo? She’ll probably wish she didn’t question where her favorite rug is.
Martin gets to help with a case
When there’s a murder at Claremont, Gil and the team turn up. Of course, this is exciting for Martin. He gets to do more than just help from the sidelines. He gets to be part of the case.
Expect plenty more of the dark humor that comes from Michael Sheen and Tom Payne on screen together.
Martin could be involved in the case
Considering the events of the previous episode, are we really going to pretend that this murder is just a coincidence? There’s no such thing as coincidences. Gibbs on NCIS has taught us that.
There is too much going on at Claremont in the promo. It certainly looks like Martin may be involved in all of it.
Tanaka just can’t help herself
It’s hard not to love Tanaka. She loves her job, and she also loves fascinating people. So, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that she wants to get to know Martin Whitly.
Everyone else has had some sort of interaction with Martin up to this point. Tanaka hasn’t, so it’s going to be fun to see that whole interaction. Why does Gil have to remind her Martin killed 23 people?
