The Big Sky cast is growing. New recurring guest stars are being added to the show, and we’re breaking down who everyone will play.

Just in case you thought things were going to get a little repetitive with the girls saved after just five episodes, the show promises to remain on track. More cast members are joining the series in a recurring capacity, starting with The Alienist‘s Ted Levine.

Deadline reported Levine and Kyle Schmid’s additions separately, and then later followed up with the addition of five more actors. Out of all of them, six of the characters will be connected to one family and the seventh will be a new police officer in town.

Who will we meet? What could they mean for Cassie and Jenny? Let’s take a look at what we know so far.

The Kleinsasser family on Big Sky

The first five will all make up members of the Kleinsasser family. Levine plays the patriarch of the family, Horsch, and he’ll be joined by Michelle Forbes as his wife Margaret.

Horsch and Margaret want to have the picture-perfect life. Horsch has always run the ranch and he has a ruthlessness about him. He spends time buying up failing ranches, and he’s raised his children so they compete with each other. This is not a family that will help anyone out.

However, Horsch can now only whisper after suffering a stroke. He needs to pass on the ranch to one of his children, which is sure to set up some arguments.

Where is Margaret in all this? She “knows her place,” but there is something beneath the surface. What is she really up to?

Who are the children you ask? There are four of them.

Once Upon a Time‘s Michael Raymond-James is joining Big Sky as the first-born son Blake. He went to the city, turning his back on his family. However, he’s back home to deal with the ranch after his father’s stroke, but is he welcome?

Schmid will play the second-born, John Wayne. He is an angry man who clings onto the ways of the ranch, and he’s sure to want to take over from his dad. In fact, he probably thinks that he’s owed the ranch for sticking around when Blake left.

The third son is Rand, played by Ryan Dorsey. He’s a quiet but tormented soul. And it turns out he both loves and hates his mother. Just how much like her is he?

Britt Robertson plays the fourth child and the only daughter, Cheyenne. She was once daddy’s little girl, but she ran away and has made some poor choices in her life. To make matters worse, she’s a woman, so her brothers don’t listen to her.

The last new cast member

While we’ve met the Kleinassar family, there is one more person joining the series. Omar Metwally from The Affair will step in as Deputy US Marshal Frank Lindor. He claims to be “a bounty-hunter with a pension,” and has a biting humor.

We’ll likely see him run into Cassie and Jenny along the way, but will it be in a good way? We’ve already had a bad cop. Hopefully, they’ve got someone they can trust.

Hey, maybe he knows Jenny from her cop days.
