Deacon and Annie didn’t initially agree on private school for Lila, but things changed by the end of SWAT Season 4, Episode 8. Has Deacon done enough to get his daughter into the school?

The public vs. private school debate is common. Are private schools worth the money? Should there even be private schools? Deacon didn’t want to enroll his daughter into private school, but Annie brought up some great arguments for it.

Lila is struggling ever since the shooting at home. That isn’t initially a reason for moving schools, especially stretching the finances to head to private school, but Annie shared the reasons why this school was the best option. It’s all about the best counselor and programs to help Lila thrive.

Deacon didn’t make a great first impression during the school tour. He would need to win over the head of admissions if he wanted a shot at getting Lila into the school. Would he be able to do that by the end of SWAT Season 4, Episode 8.

Deacon just wants the best for Lila on SWAT

In the end, Deacon realized the school was the best option for Lila. So, he went back to the school to speak to the head of admissions.

While the family wouldn’t be able to write a blank check each month for programs and activities, he could offer other help. He noticed multiple flaws in the school’s security, including the police liaison being someone who had retired.

The school would need some help, and who better than an active member of SWAT who also has a private security firm?

While it wasn’t a definite yes at the end of the episode, the head of admissions certainly makes it look like she’s more than willing to accept Lila into the school. She understands the value of Deacon’s skills and connections.

Does Lila even want to go to the school?

Something that we have to discuss is whether Lila even wants to go to this new school. Are her parents going to make her go even if she doesn’t want to?

I guess, right now, Lila won’t want to go to any school. Her parents need to find a way to help her, but moving schools will mean leaving the friends she does have. She’s already struggling and will be anxious about making new friends.

It just seems like what Lila wants is going to be overlooked to do what her parents think is the best thing for her.
