Not sure what to watch throughout the week? There are plenty of TV crime dramas to check out, and here are the top five from May 3–9, 2021.

Sometimes, there are more TV crime dramas to watch than you have time for. That means looking at the top picks, especially when it comes to the top picks to watch live or check out right away if it comes to streaming services.

This week is one of those weeks. It seems like everything is back on right now as we count down the weeks to many season finales later this month. It can be overwhelming with all the options.

Here are the five top picks for TV crime dramas this week.

Which TV crime dramas will you watch from May 3–9, 2021

Murdoch Mysteries

We start with the option that’s on a streaming service this week. Murdoch Mysteries Season 14’s finale drops on Acorn TV on Monday, May 3. It’s the perfect way to start the week off.

If you haven’t caught up on the season yet, this is an excellent chance to binge-watch all the episodes. Just like previous seasons, there is something for everyone whether you want more Murdoch and Julia, more interesting inventions, or just more brilliant storytelling.

Prodigal Son

Need something that is a little campy and fun? Prodigal Son is the top pick for that this week. It’s also going to be an episode that you need to watch as the story has just picked up. During the previous episode, Martin Whitly managed to escape Claremont along with two other inmates.

There are three serial killers on the loose, and it’s up to Malcolm to find them. Can he do it before it’s too late?

Prodigal Son airs on Tuesday at 9/8c on FOX.

Chicago PD

Hump Day is all about One Chicago for most people. Chicago PD ends the night, and there’s a new episode on this week. It’s time to head back to Burgess’s storyline.

She’s adopting Makayla, and it’s been a while since we’ve focused on that. The episode will see Burgess continue with the paperwork, and that means figuring out who will look after Makayla if something happens to her. Will Adam be willing to be Makayla’s guardian if needed?

Watch Chicago PD on Wednesday at 10/9c on NBC.

Walker

After taking a few weeks off, Walker is back with all-new episodes. At the end of the previous episode, Walker got answers about his wife’s death and it led to him kissing Geri. During this week’s new episode, Walker has to deal with that kiss and what it could mean.

Meanwhile, we’ll get more time with Tricki. Trey is dealing with the aftermath of his injuries from the hurricane, and Micki is going to help him with that. Then there’s Stella who will face Clint.

Walker airs on Thursday at 8/7c on The CW.

NCIS: New Orleans

We’ll be waiting until the end of the week for the next episode. There are just three episodes of NCIS: New Orleans back, and they are airing back to back. How will we say goodbye to each of the characters?

The storyline with Sasha continues as the team looks for a direct link to her being involved in the bar attacks. That means Pride needs to help Connor come to terms with who his mother really is.

Watch NCIS: New Orleans on Sunday at 10/9c on CBS.
