FBI Season 4 was one of the first confirmed renewals by CBS in 2021. Now all eyes are on when the season will premiere. Here’s what we know so far.

We’re starting off with the good news. FBI Season 4 is definitely happening, and CBS confirmed that it will be part of the fall 2021 schedule.

The show is moving timeslots. Originally airing after new episodes of NCISFBI will now take over the Tuesday 8/7c timeslot. It’s acting as the first of three FBI shows to air on Tuesday nights. It’s a Dick Wolf takeover similarly to NBC’s One Chicago Wednesdays and the upcoming Law & Order Thursdays.

There doesn’t seem to be any major changes to the cast coming, though. Nothing major happened at the end of Season 4 to may us concerned about changes.

What do we know about the season so far? Here’s everything, with updates coming as they happen.

How many seasons of FBI are there?

There are currently three seasons of the show to watch. They’re all available on Paramount+ to stream when you want.

A fourth season is confirmed and will arrive sometime in 2021.

Is Season 4 of FBI going to happen?

Yes, FBI Season 4 is officially happening. It was one of the first shows to be renewed by CBS, and that renewal wasn’t a surprising. It continually remains one of the highest-rated scripted shows on the network.

How many episodes are in FBI Season 4?

It’s unclear just how many episodes will be in the season. Usually, we’d say the show would have a 22–24 episode season, but that changed the previous two seasons due to COVID.

There is hope that the show will premiere in early fall 2021, which should mean a full season as normal. However, COVID protocols when filming are making episodes take longer than normal, and that could lead to a shorter season order.

When is FBI Season 4 filming?

It’s not clear when filming will start back up yet. It usually happens during the summer months, allowing for a late September start. However, filming didn’t start until September in 2020. We shouldn’t see such a delay in 2021 as the delay was due to figuring out how to make filming safe during the pandemic.

FBI Season 4 release date

While we don’t have an exact premiere date for the season, we know it’s coming in the fall 2021 lineup. It’s going to air Tuesdays at 8/7c, taking over NCIS‘s timeslot.

We’re expecting a late September premiere date. This will all depend on filming capabilities, though.
