With the way things ended at the end of SWAT Season 4, we need to see the next part of the story. When is SWAT Season 5 coming out?

There are so many questions about Hondo’s future on SWAT Season 5. During the season, Deacon and Hondo had to deal with some racist cops. Sadly, the force protected them with a slap on the wrist, so Hondo took bigger actions to get them kicked off the force.

He went to the press to tell his story. It’s led to him gaining some respect from his community, but he was punished by being demoted as leader of his team.

We don’t know what Hondo will do next. He knows this is retaliation to get him to resign from the force under his own accord. Will he do that, or will we get to see him follow someone else’s lead?

How many seasons of SWAT are there?

There are currently four seasons of SWAT available to watch on Paramount+. All four seasons have aired on CBS.

There is going to be a fifth season of the show. We’re not sure if this will be the last. That’s something CBS will decide when the season starts to air.

Is Season 5 of SWAT going to happen?

There is going to be a fifth season of the series. CBS renewed the show back in April along with four other TV shows on the network. It was somewhat surprising considering the live TV ratings but shows the continued support for the types of stories the series is telling.

How many episodes are in SWAT Season 5?

There’s no announcement on the episode count for the season. The previous two seasons have been slightly shorter than normal. The first was stopped abruptly due to the pandemic halting filming, although it was only one episode short. The fourth season was planned as a slightly shorter season due to filming delays and protocols to manage the pandemic.

It’s possible that SWAT Season 5 will be around 18 episodes ago. While the filming should happen as normal in the summer, it’s possible that there will be delays during the filming of episodes. Due to protocols that still need to be in place, it’s taking a little longer than normal per episode and that could mean a shorter season order is needed again.

When is SWAT Season 5 filming?

Filming hasn’t started yet. We’ll keep an eye out for the start of filming, but we’re expecting it sometime in July 2021.
