With the way things ended in The Rookie Season 3 finale, we need the new season pronto. Here’s what we know about The Rookie Season 4 so far.

There are a lot of questions after The Rookie Season 3 finale. It ended with the wedding not quite going ahead after Lopez was taken by La Fiera. The race is on to find Lopez before it’s too late, and that’s where we’ll pick things up with the fourth season.

Of course, the question now is when the season will happen. We know that The Rookie Season 4 is confirmed, but ABC hasn’t set any premiere dates just yet. It’s time to look at what we do know about the season.

How many seasons of The Rookie are there?

Right now, there are three seasons of the series to watch. You can catch up on Hulu, seeing the story of John Nolan changing his career path in his 40s to find his purpose in life.

Is Season 4 of The Rookie going to happen?

There is a fourth season coming. The season was confirmed shortly before the Season 3 finale, and we know that it’s going to be part of the fall schedule. It’s a good thing considering the way the Season 3 finale ended.

How many episodes are in The Rookie Season 4?

It’s unclear just how many episodes will be in the season this year. Usually, fall shows get 22 episodes or so, but things changed because of the pandemic. The second season was cut abruptly and the third season was shortened due to pandemic filming protocols and delays in the filming schedule.

We would love to see a normal-length season, but that may not be possible. There are still some delays due to some of the protocols, so we’re probably looking at a slightly shorter than normal season, probably around 18 episodes or so.

When is The Rookie Season 4 filming?

The cast and crew tend to be on the quiet side when it comes to filming. This helps to prevent any other delays due to fans. However, we’re expecting filming to start this month.

ABC has set its premiere dates, and The Rookie Season 4 is on the list. We’re not waiting too long for it. Get ready for Sunday, Sept. 26.
