Now that Gibbs is back, it’s time to focus on finding the serial killer in NCIS Season 19, Episode 2. It turns out the team isn’t alone in the search.

The NCIS Season 19 premiere wasted no time in getting us answers about Gibbs’s situation. By episode end, Gibbs was back with the team. No, he’s not back with NCIS just yet, but he is working with McGee, Torres, and Knight to find the serial killer.

It’s clear the serial killer knows he’s at risk. That’s why he’s gone up against Gibbs and Marcie, and it looked like it was just them who had figured things out. That’s not the case at all.

The team is not the only team searching for this serial killer. NCIS Season 19, Episode 2 brings in another person who has been tracking the serial killer?

Will Gary Cole be introduced in NCIS Season 19, Episode 2?

We know Gary Cole is going to be a part of the new season as FBI Special Agent Alden Parker. He’s not a replacement for Gibbs, but someone who will help to deal with the void for the episodes Gibbs isn’t around.

What we didn’t know was when Alden Parker will show up. It looks like it’s going to be in the new episode. In the official synopsis, CBS has also revealed that Gary Cole will be in the episode.

There’s a chance that Parker is the other person who has been tracking the serial killer. It makes sense to be the way that Cole’s character is introduced. He’ll likely be a bit standoffish when it comes to the team at first. After all, aren’t all FBI agents like that? Remember that Fornell didn’t exactly want to work with the team when he first turned up in the series.

This does suggest that the storyline is going to continue for a while. Cole is supposed to be around for some time, so why would he stick around once the serial killer is caught?

Check out the synopsis for the episode below:

"While trying to find the serial killer Gibbs was after, the NCIS team discovers another person has been tracking the case as well, on NCIS, Monday, Sept. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Gary Cole joins the cast as FBI Special Agent Alden Parker."
