At the end of the FBI: Most Wanted Season 2 finale, we heard gunshots when Crosby and Jess went into Jess’s house. Who was shot? We found out what happened at the end of the FBI Season 4 premiere.

Even if you don’t usually watch FBI but watch FBI: Most Wanted, you likely watched all three of the FBI shows on Tuesday, Sept. 21. We got a three-way crossover as a way to kick off the seasons in style and introduce the new FBI: International characters.

For a lot of the first two hours, we focused on Crosby. He and Jess had survived the shooting at Jess’s house at the end of FBI: Most Wanted Season 2, but Crosby was shot while on a case. Fortunately, he survived, but we still lost him from the team. Kellan Lutz has chosen to leave the show.

What we didn’t get was a clip that involved the aftermath of the shooting at Jess’s house. Instead, Isobel talked to Jess about it at the end of the FBI Season 4 premiere, clarifying the events.

Nobody important was hurt in the FBI: Most Wanted Season 2 finale

It turned out that it was Jess and Crosby who fired the shots in Jess’s house. Isobel said to Jess that the two of them had been officially cleared of all wrongdoing, which we’d assumed would be the case considering Crosby was allowed to work with the New York team and it didn’t look like Jess was off work.

Jess made it clear to Isobel that his and Crosby’s actions were in self-defense. They’d shot and killed Sarah’s ex. If they hadn’t, he would have shot both Sarah and Tali. There’s no way Jess was going to let that happen. Isobel didn’t doubt him one bit.

So, it turns out that it was just Sarah’s ex killed in the shooting. Sarah and Tali are safe, and they’re all working through the trauma from it all. I’m sure it will come up once FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 gets focused on its own storylines rather than the three-way crossover storyline.

dark. Next. What's next for Jess on FBI: Most Wanted?

FBI: Most Wanted airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS. Watch the following day on Paramount+.
