Tuesday nights have become all about the three FBI shows. FBI: International is already proving successful, but is it on tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 19?
FBI: International was just three episodes in when CBS gave it a full-season order. It’s not that surprising considering it’s part of Dick Wolf’s brand, and we’re all there for Dick Wolf shows. It also has a great timeslot, following on from new episodes of FBI.
So, what’s going on with the schedule this week? There isn’t a new episode of FBI: International tonight. That’s why there wasn’t a promo for a new episode last week.
Why isn’t FBI: International new tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 19?
It’s not 100% clear why there’s a break, but it’s likely linked to the scheduling of new episodes. There may be a delay somewhere in the production process due to pandemic protocols. It is taking longer to film episodes at the moment due to all the necessary steps the shows have to go through.
Whether it’s just one FBI show or all of them, there are going to be delays in new episodes airing. CBS will want to keep all three seasons running at the exact same time for easier scheduling of any future crossovers and for all midseason and season finale dates.
The good news is we’ll still get all three teams on tonight. CBS has planned reruns for the next two weeks, with a new episode of FBI: International airing on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
The reruns this week are the three-way crossover episodes. It all starts with FBI Season 4’s premiere in the 8/7c timeslot. Like for the first week, International is going to air in the final timeslot of the night. You’ll want to watch all three episodes though because you need to know the story that ends up reaching the Fly Team’s radar.
FBI: International will return with all-new episodes on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 9/8c on CBS. Catch it the following day on Paramount+.
