Will FBI: International Season 2 happen at CBS?

"Pilot" - Special Agent Scott Forrester and his Budapest-based FBI fly team head to Croatia after Isobel Castille (Alana De La Garza, FBI) enlists their help to capture an American fugitive who escaped to Zagreb with a 14-year-old girl. FBI: International is one of the newest dramas on TV for the fall 2021 schedule. Is there a chance it will continue? Will Season 2 happen at CBS?

We’re just a few episodes into the series, and there’s no way CBS will announce renewals just yet. Most of the time, the renewals happen from March onward for the next year, so we’re not expecting much until March 2022 about cancellations and renewals.

However, that doesn’t stop us looking ahead with hope. FBI: International is just a few episodes in, but it’s already landed a full-season order. This is a great sign for the future of the series.

FBI: International Season 2 is likely to happen at CBS

CBS will want to see how well a show does for a few episodes. It will also want to see how well the show does when episodes return after the winter break. That’s the reason for the delay.

We have a lot of hope for this new FBI series, though. There’s no doubt in my mind that this series will be renewed for Season 2.

FBI: International is the best new drama on the network. It’s the second-best new drama on broadcast TV overall. This isn’t surprising considering how well Dick Wolf productions do.

It sits in eighth place out of all scripted shows on CBS in terms of the demo. When looking at the total audience, it sits in sixth place. All the shows ahead of it are long-standing shows, and some of them may come to an end this season—we’re mostly concerned about NCIS.

Tuesdays are a strong night for CBS. There’s no way the network will just suddenly cancel International when it helps to create a strong FBI night.
