Why is Forrester’s mom back on FBI: International?

At the end of the previous episode of FBI: International, Forrester’s mom returned. Why is she back after all this time? Is Forrester in danger?

We don’t know too much about Forrester’s past just yet. The show is slowly revealing bits and pieces, including the fact that his mom went missing when he was a young boy. She had worked for the government, but it turned out that she was involved in selling information to the Russians.

At the end of the previous episode, Forrester got a message from an unknown person. He later found out that the message had a tracking bug within it, so whoever sent him the text would know his location. Forrester decided to keep the phone running to see if whoever it was would turn up.

Sure enough, she did. It’s clear from the way he recognized her that he suspected it to be his mom. So, why is she back?

Is Forrester in danger on FBI: International?

Why would his mom just appear after all this time? There’s no way that she’s back just because she misses her son. Sure, she probably does, but that doesn’t mean she has brought herself out of hiding just to see him.

There has to be a big reason for it. Chances are that Forrester is in danger and only she knows about it. It’s possible that her actions of the past have put him in danger now.

Alternatively, this could be linked to Jamie in some way. Forrester lied for her even though she didn’t ask him to. This could put Forrester in trouble as people uncover the lie that he’s told. Has his mom found out something and come to warn him?

The other theory is that she’s in trouble herself. She needs to come out in the open because she needs her son’s help considering his position in the FBI now.

We’ll have to wait a while to find out. The new episode of FBI: International isn’t going to air until Tuesday, Feb. 21.
