When a new team member ends up under the bus in most crime dramas, we see them go out alone. Is that what happened in FBI: International?

We’ve seen it plenty of times. A member of a team ends up becoming a suspect and they decide not to trust in their team. Instead, they go off on their own and try to solve the case, usually getting themselves into far more trouble than they should.

What happened in FBI: International? The series returned from a one-week break with Vo finding herself in hot water. She was connected to a main suspect in a murder, and that connection went way back.

As the newest member of the team, it would have been easy for her to decide not to trust anyone. What did she decide to do?

Did Vo trust the Fly Team in FBI: International?

At first, it looked like Vo was going to try deal with things herself. Her friend, Nick, turned up at her place to request help. She was the only person he trusted to deal with the situation. However, while he was there, Kellett knocked on Vo’s door.

Vo decided that she had to turn to her team for help. She needed everyone on board, uncertain as to whether Nick’s story was the truth or Kellett had it right. It turned out that Nick’s story about a CI changing his story leading to a false affidavit claim was countered with the FBI claiming that the CI was never a real person in the first place.

The Fly Team worked together to get to the bottom of it, making sure Vo’s career wasn’t completely destroyed in the process. Forrester even made it clear from the start that he wasn’t losing Vo, suggesting that he trusted her to do the right thing throughout the case. And he knew that Nick would eventually get in touch with her.

Trusting in the team was right. The Fly Team got to the bottom of it all and found out that Nick was the one who killed the gambling regulator. Vo learned that the man she had gone through West Point and Quantico with had lied to her and betrayed her. He relied on Vo believing him to get away with everything and would have pulled down her career.

It’s so refreshing when we see those facing trouble just rely on their teams. While it’s going to be hard for Vo to accept, at least she knows that her team has her back when she needs it.
