After months of questions, the three FBI shows have finally been renewed. We’re not just getting one confirmed season out of them, either!

Let’s be honest; when the three FBI shows didn’t score early renewals, we were confused. We weren’t exactly concerned, just confused by the lack of decision. Then The Equalizer was renewed for two seasons, and it looked like the lack of news made sense. Would the three Tuesday dramas get the same treatment?

It turns out that’s exactly what was taking the renewals so long. CBS hasn’t just renewed the three shows in the franchise for one season. They have each landed two-season renewals. That takes all three through to 2024 before we have to worry about them again.

FBI, FBI: International, FBI: Most Wanted renewed for two seasons each

This two-season renewal for the three shows isn’t all that surprising. They are among the most popular on the network and continue to be strong performers on Tuesday nights. Of course CBS is going to want to keep them going.

FBI will go up to at least Season 6. We know that Missy Peregrym is returning after maternity leave, so we’ll see how Maggie comes back in Season 5.

International will get up to at least Season 3. This isn’t surprising considering how popular the new series was this year. It’s the third most-watched new show across all of broadcast. (Ghosts and NCIS: Hawaii are the two above it.)

Most Wanted will see through to at least Season 5. This show is very slightly down from its second season, but it’s still a strong series on Tuesdays. It will be interesting to see a full season with Dylan McDermott in the lead.

Next. Is SWAT canceled or renewed for Season 6?. dark

What do you think of the franchise? Are you happy to see the two-season renewals for each of them? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
