East New York is not coming to CBS in June 2022

From executive producers of “NYPD Blue,” EAST NEW YORK stars Amanda Warren as Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood, the newly promoted boss of the 74th Precinct, in East New York – a working-class neighborhood on the edge of Brooklyn in the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification. With family ties to the area, Haywood is determined to deploy creative methods to protect her beloved community with the help of her officers and detectives, if she can get the skeptics on board with her plan. East New York is one of the newest dramas heading to CBS very soon. The bad news is the series premiere won’t air this month.

With the end of a main TV season, we’re all looking ahead at what’s to come next season. It did mean some cancellations, but it also meant some new shows are arriving. CBS has picked up East New York to series.

The premiere isn’t going to air on CBS in June 2022. That’s not something we expected, even though it has filmed completely. There is more work to be done on the series to get it ready for when it will premiere on the network.

East New York will follow Regina Haywood, played by Amanda Warren, the newly promoted deputy inspector of the area. She’s at the edge of Brooklyn, in a working-class neighborhood, and she’s ready to bring change to how everything is done. The people of the area don’t trust the cops, and she has some creative methods to help in the midst of social upheaval and the early stages of gentrification.

When will East New York premiere on CBS?

There is a little bit of good news when it comes to the show. It is going to be part of the fall lineup on CBS. We’ll see it air on Sundays following new episodes of The Equalizer, which could be the perfect timeslot for the ratings.

There is a wait for the episodes, though. The fall schedule doesn’t usually premiere until late September or early October. CBS is still to confirm premiere dates, with FOX being the only big network to confirm premiere dates so far. FOX is starting its fall season on Monday, Sept. 19. This could be when CBS starts its fall schedule, which could mean a Sunday, Sept. 25 premiere date.
