East New York is one of the new shows heading to CBS in fall 2022. What will this new crime drama be about, and is it going to be worth watching?

There are plenty of new shows coming in fall 2022. CBS has picked another crime drama, which isn’t all that surprising. This is one of the genres that does the best for the network. Just look at the success of the NCIS franchise, the FBI franchise, and even The Equalizer.

Well, East New York is one of the new shows. It brings another attempt similar to Tommy in the sense that it’s a woman newly in charge with dreams that not everyone believes in. However, she’s not just proving a woman can lead. She wants to really make a difference in her new area.

What is East New York on CBS about?

The new series will follow the newly promoted deputy inspector for the East New York precinct, Regina Haywood. She is in the working-class neighborhood on the edge of Brooklyn, and she certainly has her work cut out for her. This is an area in the middle of social upheaval, with the early seeds of gentrification taking place.

She wants to prove to the people that they can trust the cops. That’s not going to be easy, especially when she needs to make a few changes in her area to bring that trust.

Of course, she has ideas on how to change things. The officers and detectives aren’t all on board with these creative methods. Will they see that the changes are going to be good for everyone?

There isn’t long to wait for the show. It’s going to air in the fall, slotting between The Equalizer and NCIS: Los Angeles on Sundays.
