East New York series premiere date confirmed
CBS has a couple of new dramas arriving in the fall. East New York is one of them, and now we know when the series premiere will air.
As we enter the summer months, we start to look at what’s going on with the new TV season. The schedule is set, and now the majority of the Big 5 networks have set their premiere dates.
East New York is one of the newest TV crime dramas coming in fall 2022. It’s going to air on Sundays in between The Equalizer and NCIS: Los Angeles, which is a pretty good timeslot. While Sundays can be difficult, The Equalizer has had some great success on the night, and we’re sure CBS hopes that fans of the Queen Latifah series will stick around for another show.
When will the East New York series premiere air on CBS?
CBS has set the premiere dates for the fall schedule. While the schedule starts on Monday, Sept. 19, there are some shows that won’t air until October. East New York is one of those shows we’ll need to wait until October for.
The East New York series premiere will air on Sunday, Oct. 2. It will follow the Season 3 premiere of The Equalizer. There won’t be a new episode of NCIS: Los Angeles on the same night. That series is being held until Oct. 9.
What’s with the delayed start for East New York? It’s not actually that delayed, but some of it is due to the summer programming. Big Brother won’t air its Season 24 finale until Sunday, Sept. 25. It’s impossible for CBS to air two programs at once!
The new series is scheduled for the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. However, the series premiere won’t air until 9:30 p.m. ET. This will be due to the football game on CBS that night. This is the problem for Sunday shows: the football often preempts the episodes. However, with The Equalizer as a lead-in, we’re not too worried about it.
East New York will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 2 on CBS. Catch up on Paramount+ the following day.
