We’re getting ready for NCIS: Hawaii Season 2. The premiere will be here before we know it, and here’s what we know about the season so far.

As soon as we found out NCIS: Hawaii Season 2 was happening, we started getting ready. It’s a great series with brilliant cast, bringing us a little bit of a darker vibe to the Aloha state.

There will be a crossover event with the OG series. This time, a couple of team members are heading to the main HQ, with some of those then heading back to Hawaii to help Tennant and her team finish the case.

From there, we’ll see the team back in action alone. Here’s a look at everything we know so far.

NCIS: Hawaii Season 2 premiere date

CBS has confirmed that the series will keep its Monday night time slot. We’ll get the first new episode on Monday, Sept. 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

This is going to be the two-episode crossover event. Tennant and Malick will appear in the OG series at 9 p.m.  ET/PT. It’s going to be worth checking in on that episode as it sets the tone for the next hour.

NCIS: Hawaii Season 2 cast

We will get to see the following team members return:

  • Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant
  • Alex Tarrant as Kai Holman
  • Noah Mills as Jesse Boone
  • Yasmine Al-Bustami as Lucy Tara
  • Jason Antoon as Ernie Malick
  • Tori Anderson as Kate Whistler

We also expect to see Kian Talan return as Alex Tennant. Alex is Jane’s elder child, and he got some big storylines in the first season as he focused on his college options and career future. We should also see more of Mahina Napoleon as Julie Tennant, Jane’s younger child.

During the first episode, we will see some of the OG series cast guest star. They are:

  • Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres
  • Katrina Law as Jessica Knight
  • Gary Cole as Alden Parker
  • Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Palmer
  • Diona Reasonover as Kasie Hines

NCIS: Hawaii Season 2 promo

The promo for the season hasn’t been released yet. It’s not clear if there can be one for this season with the first episode being the second episode of the crossover event. Instead, we could get some clips of later episodes in the season that have already filmed to see the team in action.

NCIS: Hawaii Season 2 synopsis

We do have the synopsis for the first episode of the season. This is the second part of the two-episode crossover.

"Tennant’s team, along with NCIS agents Nick Torres and Jessica Knight, track The Raven’s whereabouts to the island of Oahu and learn about his plans to attack RIMPAC (The Rim of the Pacific Exercises), the world’s largest international maritime warfare exercise."

After that, we don’t have any synopsis for other episodes. There are a few things we’d love to see focused on, though. Lucy and Whistler are the biggest when it comes to relationships. After Whistler’s grand gesture, the two are back together. Can they make it work?

Boone didn’t get as much development as the other characters, so I hope to see more of him this season.
