The NCIS Season 20 premiere will be here before we know it. Here’s everything we know about the first episode and the entire season.

The summer has been long, but the fall schedules are pretty much back to normal. NCIS Season 20 is going to premiere at the usual time for the series, and that date will be here before we know it.

There is some exciting news about the premiere. It’s going to be the first hour of a two-episode crossover event with NCIS: Hawaii. We also have some confirmations of cast members returning, including a fan-favorite former FBI agent.

What do we know about the season of the OG series so far? Here’s everything with more updates to come as they happen.

NCIS Season 20 premiere date

There isn’t much longer left to wait for the new episodes. NCIS Season 20 will premiere on Monday, Sept. 19. The episode will air at 9 p.m., which has become the new release time for the show. It worked relatively well for the 19th season, especially for the new spin-off NCIS: Hawaii.

The premiere will involve a crossover event. After that, we’ll just see the regular team members for the most part.

NCIS Season 20 cast

The usual suspects will return. This include:

  • Sean Murray as Tim McGee
  • Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres
  • Katrina Law as Jessica Knight
  • Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Palmer
  • Diona Reasonover as Kasie Hines
  • Rocky Carroll as Leon Vance

We also know that Gary Cole will return as Alden Parker. There was a small question mark over his return at first, but the synopsis and the crossover event makes it clear that he is definitely back.

Nothing says that David McCallum will return as Ducky just yet. McCallum took a step back from being in the show full-time a few years back, but he does appear for important episodes. We’re sure to see him here and there throughout Season 20 as there’s been nothing to say that he won’t return at all.

We do know that Joe Spano is back as former FBI agent Tobias Fornell. He will be in the crossover event, which makes sense since we know he is friends with Parker. Of course he’s going to want to clear Parker’s name, too.

NCIS Season 20 promo

There isn’t a promo trailer out just yet. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this, as it shouldn’t be long before the release of it now.

NCIS Season 20 synopsis

We have the synopsis for the premiere episode. More episode synopses will be released as there’s a new episode.

The official synopsis for the premiere is:

"Following the cliffhanger Season 19 finale, with Special Agent Alden Parker still on the run with his ex-wife Vivian, the team investigates who from his past might have a personal vendetta against him in hopes of clearing Parker’s name. Enlisting the help of Special Agent Jane Tennant and computer specialist Ernie Malick, who are in town meeting with director Leon Vance in preparation for a global military exercise, the group tracks down their prime suspect, The Raven."
