Is Cinda Canning really the murderer in Only Murders in the Building Season 2?

Cinda Canning has been a thorn in our podcasters’ sides from the beginning of Only Murders in the Building Season 2. Is that because she killed Bunny?

While we knew Glitter Guy was likely connected to the real murderer—if not the actual murderer—we still didn’t have a lot of motive. Why would someone want Bunny dead if it wasn’t a person in the Arconia? Well, it turns out that it may be connected to the portrait.

When Charles confronted Rose about pretending to be Bunny’s mother, he found out that a brunette with glasses who was pushy wanted to know about the portrait. That suggested Cinda Canning had something to do with things.

Then Mabel found out something that turns everything upside down. Poppy isn’t Poppy after all. She’s Becky Butler, the same Becky Butler who went missing years ago. The Becky Butler who is the victim in All Is Not Okay in Oklahoma, one of Cinda Canning’s podcasts. If Becky is still alive and Cinda got Kreps to plant evidence, does that means she’s behind Bunny’s murder?

Did Cinda Canning kill Bunny in Only Murders in the Building?

It’s certainly possible that Cinda did it based on everything we know so far. There are suggestions that Cinda was the one getting Kreps to do all sorts of shady police business. Then there’s the fact that Cinda is doing everything she can to make people think our podcasting trio did it. We know she likely feels somewhat threatened by the Only Murders podcast, which is why she brought out Only Murderers in the Building.

But why would she want Bunny dead? It could all link back to the portrait. Rose’s description certainly matches Cinda, but then a pushy woman with brown hair and glasses isn’t much of a description. The big question is why Cinda would have wanted that portrait. Is she somehow linked to Charles?

This one feels a little too obvious right now. We saw how the first season made it look like Teddy was the one to kill Tim Kono, but it turned out to be Jan. So who actually wants to frame Cinda? Is it Becky Butler?
