Is Omar Metwally leaving Big Sky? (Will Lindor be in Big Sky Season 3?)
Omar Metwally joined Big Sky as U.S. Marshal Mark Lindor. Will he return in the third season? Here’s what we know about Lindor.
Cast members change with each new season of Big Sky. This is usually linked to the villains and the victims of the story, but every now and then we see changes to those involved in Dewell and Hoyt. Big Sky made it very clear with the series premiere that we can’t rely on any series regular surviving.
What about Omar Metwally? He plays Mark Lindor, who has had some flirtatious scenes with both Jerrie and Cassie throughout the second season. Things looked promising for him sticking around in the third season, but is that going to be the case?
Omar Metwally will not be in the first set of Big Sky Season 3 episodes
TVLine brought us some disappointing news. Omar Metwally is not going to be a series regular for the new season. However, this doesn’t mean he’s completely gone. There is a chance he’ll pop up later in the season, but he’s definitely not coming back for the beginning.
Showrunner Elwood Reid shared that Metwally came to him with a request to leave the show. Metwally had been offered a role in an off-season play and didn’t want to turn it down. At the time, Reid had no idea if the series would even be renewed, so he wasn’t going to say no.
It’s probably pretty easy to write Lindor out of the show for the beginning. While Scarlet is still on the run, her daughter Phoebe was handed over to Cassie with evidence to help take down the Syndicate. We could find out that Lindor has gone back to his bosses with all this to help bring down Scarlet and the Syndicate off-screen.
Cassie is going to have a situation to deal with anyway. There’s something going on with an excursion group that she’ll likely help Jenny with.
