Fall TV is certainly back. This week will see more shows return from their summer breaks, and there are some new releases across streaming platforms too. It was already overwhelming with The Rookie and its new spin-off, three FBI shows, the two NCIS shows that have returned, and Chicago PD. Now we’re adding more to the list to watch.

There are chances that you don’t have the time to watch everything live. And you’ll miss some great new releases on other streaming platforms. Just what is there to watch this week, and what don’t you want to miss out on?

The Equalizer and more TV crime dramas to watch this week

The Equalizer

We start with our Sunday nights returning to some sort of normality. The Equalizer Season 3 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 2, and we’re certainly ready for it. The last we saw Robyn, she was being hauled away in the back of a truck, now her team and her family will work together to get her back.

There’s trouble, though. By the time Robyn gets to talk to anyone, people will be dead. Can the team get to her before she’s the one in a body bag?

Watch the episode on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS. The East New York series premiere will follow afterward.

Coroner

The CW’s schedule is getting back to normal, and it starts with a night of Canadian acquisitions. Family Law will start Sundays, and then we’ll get the Coroner Season 4 premiere. We’re picking up off the back of the events in the Season 3 finale.

Jenny is dealing with the loss of Liam. She’s stepped away from her job as the coroner for the police department, but she doesn’t get away from death for now. She’ll find herself drawn into a new case, and this time as a civilian.

Watch the new season start on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9/8c on The CW.

A Friend of the Family

If you’re looking for true crime, Peacock has us covered this week. It’s all about the Jan Broberg story through the dramatized series A Friend of the Family.

The first three episodes drop at once. They’ll start off the story of a charismatic man moving in next door and building a relationship with the Brobergs. Who they thought was a friendly neighbor turns into their worst nightmare when he’s responsible for the disappearance of their eldest daughter, Jan, twice!

Watch the first three episodes on Thursday, Oct. 6 on Peacock.

Walker Independence

The CW has plenty of shows returning this week, and Walker Season 3 is one of them. Make sure you stick around for the drama afterward. Walker Independence will air on Thursday night.

This is a prequel story, and we get to find out how the Walker family got started in Texas. Abigail Walker comes to Independence, Texas looking for answers. Who killed her husband, and why? It’s perfect for Western fans.

Watch the new series on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It follows new episodes of Walker Season 3 starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

SWAT

Finally, our Friday night dramas are coming back. There are two TV crime dramas worth watching, and they start with SWAT. The sixth season premiere airs this week.

We’ll see the team in Thailand, working with that country’s elite team. Hondo will end up working with a former military buddy as they realize there’s a heroin case linked to Los Angeles. Can the team take down a drug kingpin on the other side of the world?

Watch the premiere on Friday, Oct. 7 at 8/7c on CBS. Blue Bloods also returns at 10/9c.
