One of Us Is Lying: Marianly Tejada and Cooper van Grootel discuss Natewyn
Natewyn shippers everywhere want to know what will happen in One of Us Is Lying Season 2. What did Marianly Tejada and Cooper van Grottel share?
As we get into One of Us Is Lying Season 2, shippers everywhere wanted to know details about Nateweyn. We know how the book storyline goes, but would the show work that into the second season? The full season has dropped now, so you can find out, but Marianly Trjada and Cooper van Grootel teased a little in our exclusive interview.
Of course, they couldn’t give a yes or no answer, but they could share just a little. Expect a bit of a slow burn here.
"“I think you can expect definitely good things, definitely good things.”“If you were happy with Season 1, you’ll definitely be happy with Season 2.”"
Well, now that left us a little less worried about this ship sinking, we could get into what to expect for the characters.
Is Yale still important for Bronwyn in One of Us Is Lying Season 2?
With everything that has happened, priorities can shift. What people wanted before a traumatic event can seem like something insignificant now. Is this something Bronwyn will experience with her need to get into Yale?
"“I think both co-exist. I think we see her have this transition into ‘this was my everything, but now I have bigger problems to solve.’ And not only bigger problems to solve, but these situations are bringing perspective into her life.”"
Something Bronwyn will realize is that the safety of her friends and loved ones is the most important thing.
Nate after the arrest in One of Us Is Lying Season 2
Nate became the easy target in the first season. He was already dealing drugs and had a harsher background compared to the others. Of course, he was going to be the one arrested. Now everyone knows that he didn’t do it, but what does that mean for Nate moving forward?
"“I think his whole life he’s probably been, there have been assumptions made about him…I think he’s pretty used to it. He has a tough exterior but on the inside, he’s just a big softy…How do you not point fingers at him? He’s the most likely suspect.”"
Does anyone believe he did do it?
"“I think there’s a certain level of trust that the Bayview Six sort of come to understand about one another, and I think they do trust Nate…I think outside of that, he still deals with people thinking he did do it. He’s still in hot water with Detective Wheeler.”"
It’s not going to be an easy ride for Nate (or even for Natewyn), but it’s all going to be worth it.
