Who was Simon Says in One of Us Is Lying Season 2?

One of Us Is Lying Season 2 saw Murder Club get messages from “Simons Says.” Who was behind all the text messages and threats?

Just as they thought life could go back to normal, Murder Club started receiving threatening texts. “Simons Says” would tell them to do things or their secrets would be revealed. There was one big secret they didn’t want to get out: Jake’s murder.

In the first episode, we found out what happened to Jake exactly. No, he definitely wasn’t in Mexico. instead, he was in the freezer on Janae’s parents’ boat. That was the perfect hiding spot until it wasn’t. Thanks to having to dump the body in the ocean, the police eventually found out that Jake wasn’t in Mexico at all. He’d been murdered, and there was an investigation on their hands.

Of course, Murder Club were the prime suspects for many. Little did people know, they were involved. Well, one person knew. The person sending the texts.

Who sent the texts in One of Us Is Lying Season 2?

There were a few suspects leading up to the end. We thought Maeve at one point, and then there was the new girl Giselle. There were even many who suspected Evan. It turned out it was none of them. It was a different newbie in the series.

During the last episodes of One of Us Is Lying Season 2, we learned that Jake didn’t go to Greece that summer. He was in rehab, which is where he met Giselle. There was another girl there who fell for him: Fiona.

Nate’s tutor loved Jake and thought Jake had killed Simon to get revenge for her. Simon had revealed a big secret of hers. What Fiona didn’t realize was that Jake had told Simon that secret. That didn’t matter, though. Fiona was so in love that she wanted to get revenge against Murder Club for killing him. She was in the bear costume that night and knew that he was dead.

Bronwyn and the group decided to get her prints on the gun. Why not frame her for Jake’s murder? We then learned Maeve was also involved, although that turned out to be a ploy to get Fiona’s fingerprints on the gun that killed Jake. Just nobody else in Murder Club knew, so they thought that Maeve had actually started working with Fiona at one point.

In the end, Maeve’s plan worked and Fiona was eventually caught trying to kill Bronwyn. She was arrested, but it didn’t end there in One of Us Is Lying Season 2. While in her prison cell, Fiona died after drinking from a cup of water. It was very similar to the way Simon died, but who killed her? That’s the mystery for Season 3.
