Kasie looked like the suspect in NCIS Season 20, Episode 6 at first. It turned out she was actually on a special assignment to find a mole.

After an NCIS agent turns up dead and Kasie is missing, Jimmy initially fears the worse. Then she turns up and she’s somehow connected to the crime scene. Naturally, everyone starts to worry she is the suspect. Yet, when Parker and McGee take her in for questioning, she turns the table on them. She has questions of her own, and she wants to get to the bottom of her own investigation.

It turns out she’s been hired by DCIS to find a mole in NCIS. Once she rules out Parker and his team, he gets to join in with the investigation. Vance is more concerned with why DCIS put Kasie in on the investigation considering she’s not an agent and it was never run through him.

Well, it turned out that was a much bigger situation at play. It turned out the victim, who Kasie and co. started to think was the mole, wasn’t the mole at all.

A case of Robin Hood fever in NCIS

Every now and then, there are people who want to be modern-day Robin Hoods. That was the case this week. The team found out that the NCIS agent, Otis, was stealing money to give to charity. Then they found out that he was actually stealing money from companies that promised to make charitable donations and then didn’t. He held that money hostage to force them to donate the money in the end.

As Kasie went to speak to her handler about what she and the team had found, the team continued to dig. Otis’s cat had blood that belonged to his attacker. It turned out the murderer had always been close.

Otis wasn’t involved at all in the Robin Hood venture. He simply noticed something that didn’t look right and then reported it. That led to Kasie’s handler getting involved. It turned out that Grace was the one holding the money hostage.

Fortunately, Kasie has been taking some self-defense classes. When Grace gave herself up, Kasie was able to get Grace in zip-ties (that Grace had brought) to arrest her. Parker and the team got to her just as Grace was being arrested.
