If you’re looking for another gritty crime drama with a heart to the story, look no further than The Calling. Originally titled The Missing, the series is based on books by Dror Mishani. The first season is a story told in eight episodes, but there is scope for more.
Peacock really is hitting things out of the park recently. We’re excited to see what’s to come with The Calling. But for now, we have the first trailer for the series to get an idea of what to expect.
There have been some images released already. Variety shared some of them. Now we have more images to put faces to the characters.

Let’s take a look at the trailer first. The trailer puts the focus on Avi, a detective who is definitely not the middle-aged higher-up detectives with a drinking problem. This is a man who has empathy—and sometimes too much of it—for his victims. He wants to solve the cases by taking them on personally, and it’s true, you can’t learn what Avi does.
The problem is Avi’s work-life isn’t all that sustainable. Can someone help him find a better balance as Avi starts to question his own humanity as he delves deeper into the latest case?
